The biggest advantage of a shared house is the savings, which can be partially compensated with other inconveniences, such as the lack of privacy or the impossibility of freely disposing of the apartment. Often, the price of a room is lower than the rent of the entire property. In addition, the cost of the different supplies is shared among all the neighbors, which makes it easier to pay periodic electricity payments.

The biggest advantage of a shared house is the savings, which can be partially compensated with other inconveniences, such as the lack of privacy or the inability to freely dispose of the apartment. Often, the price of a room is lower than the rent of the entire property. In addition, the cost of the different supplies is distributed among all the neighbors, which makes it easy to pay for regular electricity, water, gas, internet, etc.

In this article we tell you how to save on the telecom rate in your apartment share. Don’t miss it!

What features should a good internet rate for shared flats have?

Before hiring an internet fee in a shared apartment we will have to take into account a number of factors:

Nonpermanent

This is about being careful. Many telecommunication contracts last 12 months and you may stay in the apartment for less time. This is the case of tariffs such as Vodafone Yu’s Fibra Yuser 300 Mb, with 300Mb symmetrical and unlimited fixed calls.

Landless

It is the reality, young people no longer use landlines, since they usually have rates with unlimited calls or use social networks with calls (such as whatsapp). This makes the landline an expense that can be eliminated.

As a result, many telecommunication companies have brought into the market landline internet tariffs, which are more affordable since, among other things, we save ourselves the line-up.

The bandwidth and megabytes
First we can choose between ADSL and fiber. While ADSL used to be much cheaper, today there are so many fiber rates that the difference is minimal, and fiber has many more advantages, such as speed.

In a shared apartment, you will have to consider how many people will live since, the more they are, more megas have to be hired.

Price

Obviously this is where we are going to save the most. For years low cost companies are coming out with incredible prices. This is the case of companies like Finetwork, which offers an internet fee of 100 MB (expandable to 200 or 600 Mb) for 20,90€/month with free router and installation. For a little more per month (29€) Lowi offers its internet rate with 100 Mb or 200Mb for only 1€ more.
