Learning a new language can always be challenging, especially if it's one of the languages with many grammatical rules like Spanish.

However, Madrid is always a great place to learn to master this beautiful language, and what better way to do it than economically and enjoyably.

Below, we provide you with some places where you can learn Spanish in Madrid for free:

Language exchange:

The best way to learn is by practicing the language. How did you learn your native language if not by listening and trying to speak what you learned? In Madrid, you'll find many places where you can converse with others who speak Spanish, allowing you to practice. For example, at Citylife, you have Meet & Speak on Wednesdays held at Calle 365, where besides conversing, you can dance and enjoy Madrid's nightlife. Another option you have is the Meetup website, where you can find various events aimed at sharing different languages.

Language schools:

To learn grammatical rules and to adjust a plan that will be personalized, it's always a good idea to enroll in a language school. Even though it's not free, you'll have benefits as a helpHousing member at the JALEO school, which offers a free class with the signing up for any of their plans.

Language apps:

You can always reinforce what you've learned with an app like Duolingo, where you can set goals and practice... in the end, it's always about practicing as much as you can.

Social media:

Social media will always be a good tool for learning and meeting people who can help with this purpose. Follow channels like:

@spanish.with.vicky: Vicky shares short and useful lessons to improve your Spanish, from vocabulary to grammar, in a fun and easy-to-understand way.

@holamydailyspanish: Lucia offers a variety of content to learn Spanish, including pronunciation lessons, everyday conversations, and grammatical explanations.

@spanish_english_rosie: Rosie is an English teacher who also teaches Spanish and has an app to help you practice every day. You'll find some culture and tips to learn the language.

@spainsays: This way, you will get familiar with colloquial phrases and slang that are common among native speakers. Follow Spanish meme accounts on Instagram and you will be laughing while learning.

These accounts offer a variety of content for all levels of learning, so you'll surely find something that suits your needs!

We know that you'll enjoy your experience in Madrid more with these tips, and in the coming months, you'll be awesome with Spanish

¡Hasta luego!
